Editor's Note:  Have you noticed how local government behaves as if it's some kind of conglomerate, a corporate employer?  Even though these vacanices are voluntary, the planning, announcing, conducting, clean up of meetings, tours, phone calls, supplies and computer usage all costs taxpayer money.  Lots of it!  So is the city council looking at any of these areas for budget cuts during these lean economic times?  HECK NO!  They'll just raise taxes!
