The Hamburg Inn No. 2 in Iowa City was filled to capacity today when "Bo" Gus stopped in for some political chat and a hearty breakfast.
"The Hamburg Inn continues to crank out great food, the staff is attentive, service is efficient, the price is right and it's just a pleasure to eat here," said Bo.
"In contrast,It's too bad county supervisors crank out bad ideas, they're not attentive to basic needs, they're anything but efficient and the price is far too high," Bo said to a few chuckles and many nods of approval.
A Ronald Reagan conservative, Bo believes in lower taxes and smaller government.
"There are two open seats on the board of supervisors this election, two Democrats running unopposed. That's unacceptable! The county budget has skyrocketed over the last five years, resulting in recurring property tax hikes. We can't give this a pass. Janelle Rettig and Sally Stutsman, the two liberals up for re-election, are guilty of excessive and unwarranted spending."
"I recommend the Hamburg Inn to anyone who wants a great meal at a reasonable price and for those who want better county government at a reduced price, I recommend you write-in "Bo" Gus for Johnson County Supervisor."
Bo will be visiting with voters at The Vine in Coralville on Monday, November 1. For additional campaign information, visit http://www.bogusforsupervisor.com
