CORALVILLE, IA. -- On September 20, the U.S Bank in Coralville was robbed by a lone male who presented a note demanding cash. The robber then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
On October 1, 2010 Coralville Police charged LARRY COLTON PATE, 42, of 2105 Western Road, Iowa City with Robbery in the Second Degree in connection with that event. PATE was taken into custody near the Iowa City Bus Depot. He is currently being held in the Johnson County jail awaiting an initial appearance on the charge.
This charge was the result of an extensive cooperative investigation involving officers from the Coralville Police Department, Iowa City Police Department, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The charge filed in this case is merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
