Gasoline prices increased by $0.13 p/gal. over the weekend. Where’s the outrage? Or do we merely accept high gasoline prices as a fact of life? Everything we drive, eat, drink and wear, as well as where we choose to go on vacation is directly affected by the cost of getting there, or the cost of bringing it to market. Is this what America really wants? Do we want the government indirectly mandating how we live our lives? Isn’t this a direct threat to the freedoms and liberties that we would without question fight and if necessary die for? Isn’t depending upon a foreign country for vital resources a threat to our national security? Defending the people from enemies both foreign and domestic is the responsibility of our elected officials, and isn’t a threat such as this just as much an enemy of the state as that of a foreign army? If you don’t think it is, think again! Then maybe then, you’ll feel the outrage?
