A Sick Of Spin moment by Mike Thayer
Don't let this guy teach your kids, he's either inept, or has a problem with being honest. I think it's the latter. Professor Colin Gordon wrote a guest opinion piece for the Iowa City DePressed Citizen today and it's complete bunk. It is FULL of misinformation, I contend it's blatant misinformation and so I'm calling him out on the carpet on it. He's wrong on corporate tax rates, wrong on personal income tax rates, wrong on the solvency of social security, wrong on health care. What this *professor* wrote in his guest opinion is inexcusable.
And if this guy can't get the facts straight with the deficit issue, you have to wonder how off is he with the facts of history?
More troubling than the liberal talking points of blatant misinformation this guy spewed, is that this guy actually seems to believe that this country has a revenue problem, not a spending problem. The CBO reported Thursday that the government will run a deficit of $830 billion for just the first six months of fiscal 2011. The national debt is at $14.26 TRILLION, and this nutty professor doesn't think we have a spending problem....

My audio response is below, I've got one word for this guy: B.S.

Correction: In the audio I incorrectly state a corporate tax rate during the Reagan era as 25%, the number should have been stated as 26.5%
