There's a proposal out there to raise fuel taxes in Iowa.
Two economists, Iowa State University's David Swenson and Creighton University's Ernie Goss have come out in support of the tax hike with the following reason:
The increase would hardly be noticed by most consumers.
We're to pass a tax hike because people won't notice?
What kind of economists make a public statement in favor of something without having all the facts? What kind economists support raising your taxes before even looking to trim some state government fat and re-appropriate funds? Liberal-minded ones.
