Liberals say we're not supposed to question Barack Obama's claim that he is a Christian. But then, wouldn't that mean he WAS listening to the teachings of Jeremiah Wright?
The Reverend Franklin Graham asked Obama about his faith when he was first running for president. Graham related to his conversation with Obama: “He said that he was working on the south side of Chicago in the community and they asked him what church he went to.
"He said I don’t go to church. Then they said if you are going to work in our community you have to join one of the churches. Then, of course, he joined Reverend Jeremiah's church. So that's what his answer to my question was.”
In other words, Obama joined a church for political reasons.
Jeremiah Wright was Obama's pastor for 20 years, Obama CHOSE this pastor, he got married there, his two daughers were baptized there. Obama says he is a Christian because of Jeremiah Wright, so doesn't that mean he listened to the teachings of Jeremiah Wright?
Liberals can't have it both ways. They say we shouldn't question Obama's Christianity. They also say that Obama doesn't subscribe to what Jeremiah Wright taught in his church, the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side.
Here's something Obama pastor Jeremiah Wright said in a 2007 Christmas sermon:
WRIGHT: Jesus was a poor black man who lived in a country and who lived in a culture, that was controlled by rich white people! The Romans were rich. The Romans were Italians, which means they were European, which means they were white -- and the Romans ran everything in Jesus' country. It just came to me within the past few weeks, y'all, why so many folk are hatin' on Barack Obama. He doesn't fit the model!
CONGREGATION: Right!
WRIGHT: He ain't white, he ain't rich, and he ain't privileged.
This is the kind of stuff Obama heard coming out of the mouth of Jeremiah Wright for 20 years. In a 2003 sermon, Jeremiah Wright said, blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."
Then when the rhetoric of Jeremiah Wright came to be public information, just as Obama joined the church for political reasons, he left it for political reasons.
How Christian is that?
How Christian is the following?....... As President, Obama doesn't belong to a church, let alone attend one on a regular basis. If he is Christian, then he is violating one of the Ten Commandments.
I contend Barack Obama believes in what Jeremiah Wright was preaching, I contend Barack Obama puts his politics over everything else, I contend he is not Christian.
I'm an agnostic. Even I can tell Obama is just posing as a religious figure so he can troll for suckers. I was in the Statehouse one day in Feb. 2007, when Obama was behind Hillary for the nomination by 20 or 30 points. That's why Obama was in Des Moines the same day to suck up to Democrat State Senators-- toward hijacking the Iowa caucuses away from her. Anyhow, I just happened to be riding a Statehouse elevator that also had Obama and Iowa Democrat state senators aboard. Obama thought I was one of their aides. So as soon as we met, his instantaneous natural instinct was to try to suck up to me. Sucking up and telling people what they want to hear is the essense of Obama's modus operandi, and he has years of experience cultivating the millions of suckers who were manipulated, taken in, and conned into voting for him. It's just that you and the next guy don't have to be among his next crop of victims.
