No matter what side of the marriage issue you're on, asking the federal gov. to define it is wrong

Thinking the federal government has to define marriage is wrong and it's not supported by the Constitution.  If you want it covered by the federal government, then propose an amendment.  But as it stands right now, like it or not, this truly is a matter for the states.  I personally believe marriage is between a man and a woman, but this is not an issue for the federal government and quite frankly we've got a lot of other more important issues that need to be on the front burner.  The president and his supporters shouldn't be using it as a political football and neither should the Romney camp.  Shame on the media for pushing it. ~ Mike Thayer
