Submitted by a reader, something to think about and share.
Thanks V.P.!
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
Can you think of a reason for not sharing this?

If you redistributed wealth and gave everyone some average value like a million dollars, what would happen? First of all, who would want to mow your lawn or fix your car or sell you groceries or make sure electricity comes to your house? They have a million dollars, so why would they piddle mowing your lawn for $20, $50, etc.? Who needs your piddly $100 for a month's electricity when they have a million dollars? Further, if anyone did hire out their labor or materials-- at the end of the year some would have more than a million dollars and some would have less. Those who worked the hardest and had the best ideas would be above a million, and those who squandered resources while lazing at doing nothing to replenish them would have less than a million dollars. So, even if anyone socialistically "evened" everyone out to total "equality" it wouldn't last anyway. But it is the eternal dream of those who eternally aspire to be eternal parasites.
