Too many people are content to live on food stamps, unemployment checks and rental subsidies.
This isn't rocket science folks, the government (liberal-minded politicians) makes it all too easy for people to become dependent..... We're becoming a nation of takers instead of producers.
You've heard the 'middle class is shrinking' mantra in the news right?
A *new* study by the Pew Research Center combines an analysis of recent government data with a public opinion survey, providing us with a definition of the nation's middle class, which according to Pew as being those with annual household incomes in 2010 between $39,000 and $118,000 for a family of three.
If we're to accept Pew's definition, they found that at the beginning of the decade, the middle class included 51% of all adults. That's down from 61% in 1971.
Enter food stamps, rental subsidies, utility subsidies, unemployment checks for weeks on end (up to 73 to be exact), you name it, the government has come up with a program for you to *depend* on. Over the last decade, it's become all too easy. Government agencies actually spend taxpayer dollars to RECRUIT people to participate in these programs.

According to the USDA, nearly 46.5 million Americans used food stamps in May 2012, that's up from 32.2 million Americans on food stamps in January 2009. Wow, how 'bout that for record setting huh? And while economic hardship over the last four years can be cited to SOME extent for cause, don't be fooled. Dependency on government subsidy has become a way of life.
Why get off the government dole when you can get food, rental assistance, utility assistance and an unemployment check with little to no effort, right? Just go fill out a few forms, no background/verification check required.
Oh and hey, did you know that if you're a food stamp user, you can get a *FREE* cell phone, courtesy of the U.S taxpayer? Who needs a job right?
More than 148,000,000 Americans get some kind of government assistance. The United States has a total resident population of 314,201,000. That's 47% of Americans taking some form of handout!
Less than half of America pays income taxes!
HELLO!
This is unsustainable folks, and guess what? The people on these programs tend to vote for Democrats!
