“Out of Touch” questions Loebsack’s recent attacks
DAVENPORT, IA. -- Republican Candidate for Iowa’s Second Congressional District, John Archer, today launched a new radio advertisement. The 60-second advertisement, titled “Out of Touch” focuses on Congressman Loebsack’s television ad that attacks John Archer for working for the largest manufacturer in Iowa, John Deere.
Listen to it here.
“Congressman Loebsack has shown just how out of touch he really is. He attacked a great American company by calling them part of the problem,” Archer said. “The real problem is a lack of jobs. We are not going to get jobs by attacking job creators. Congressman Loebsack owes the workers at John Deere an apology. ”
“Out of Touch” is currently airing in the Quad Cities and Ottumwa markets. The following is the script of “Out of Touch:”
H: So, did you hear that attack ad this morning?
W: I try to tune that stuff out. Why? What was it this time?
H: Dave Loebsack…he’s attacking John Archer again… says he working for some company that ships jobs overseas. I have a hard time believing that.
W: Doesn’t Archer work for John Deere?
H: Yeah, I think he does…but Loebsack can’t be attacking John Deere right?
W: Loebsack is definitely attacking John Deere. In fact, I read it in the paper just the other day.
H: Doesn’t he know John Deere is the largest manufacturer in Iowa?
W: Beating up on a good company like John Deere…no wonder Loebsack hasn’t brought any jobs here…he just chases them away.
H: Yeah, I guess all that time in Washington has kind made him out of touch. Maybe that’s why Loebsack was rated Iowa’s least effective lawmaker.
W: Least effective, and most out of touch!
H: That’s why my vote is going to John Archer.
W: Yep. Archer’s the only choice for Congress.
ARCHER: I’m John Archer, I’m a candidate for Congress, and I approved this message.
