Fewer UI students forced to repay federal loans | Iowa City Press Citizen

Coralville Courier Editor's Note: Part of Obama's *FREE* college agenda.... No consequences to the student, take from taxpayers, take money OUT of the economy....

The number of University of Iowa students ordered to repay their federal student loans because they stopped going to class has decreased in recent semesters.

In spring 2012, the latest semester for which data is available, 42 students repaid a total of about $80,000, or an average of about $1,900 per student. In spring 2011, 72 students repaid about $340,000.
