Coralville wants help with poor credit score | TheGazette

CORALVILLE COURIER EDITOR'S NOTE: This is a step in the right direction, but is it too late? This should have been done years ago when folks like me started sounding the alarm on all the city debt that was being piled up. Remember, this is an election year for the city council..... And while city administrator Kelly Hayworth isn't an elected official, he's still on the hot set, because it's his agenda that the current city council rubber stamps.

City staff want outside help in addressing Coralville’s sinking bond ratings.

City officials are asking the City Council on July 23 to approve a contract with Springsted Inc. of St. Paul, Minn. The consulting firm would help the city develop a strategy for working with credit rating agencies, including Moody’s Investors Service.
