Sam Clovis is running for the U.S. Senate in Iowa. “Now more than ever Iowans need someone with a clear mind in the U.S. Senate. Bruce Braley has consistently voted with President Obama and against Iowa’s voters. This is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any form,” said Clovis. He continued by saying that we elect these individuals and grant them the right to govern our freedom. “We do not grant them the right to silence the freedoms that were granted to us by our creator our Founding Fathers and in our Constitution,” said Clovis.
The U.S. government officially shutdown at 12 midnight on September 30, 2013. “There is no budget and Bruce Braley, along with President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have decided not to negotiate in the best interest of the American voter. This unwillingness on that side of the aisle to even look at alternatives is the reason that our government shut down,” Clovis said. “House Republicans have made concessions and were willing to look at alternatives to pass on to the Senate in order to make sure that the “Open” sign stays out on the federal government front door.” Clovis went on to say that it is time to quit blaming the other person and running away from their duties. “Whining and crying foul will not get this problem solved. For the first time in 5 years, the Democrats are going to need to roll up their sleeves and focus on putting a budget together that will work for all of America – not just President Obama.”
