Coralville draws interest from 'The Daily Show' | Iowa City Press Citizen

It’s been more than two months since Coralville’s well-documented 2013 city council election and the community of about 19,000 residents is still drawing national attention — this time from Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

Officials with the late night satirical news show, including “Daily Show” correspondent Jason Jones dressed in a checkered jacket and white boater hat, attended Coralville’s Tuesday council meeting — the council’s first official gathering of 2014 that included the swearing-in of new councilor Laurie Goodrich and returning councilors Tom Gill and Bill Hoeft.
