U of I fires hospital employee for parking in ER lot | The Des Moines Register

The University of Iowa last fall fired a hospital employee — as well as his wife who rode with him to work — for parking in the emergency room lot, according to unemployment documents filed with the state.

According to the judge’s ruling, UIHC in October had received a report that Danielle J. Hodges, a full-time medical assistant, and her husband, who was not named in the ruling, were parking in a emergency patient lot. The couple was fired Nov. 7 for misconduct for violating policy.
